Diocese of Igbobini
The idea for the creation of Igbobini Diocese started in 1977 but was not created until 1984. In preparation for the creation of the diocese, the conference of Methodist Church Nigeria granted Ode-Aye and Idanre churches ‘A’ circuit status in 1977, in the same year, at the conference of the church held at Enugu between 6th and 16th of September 1977, the decision for the creation of the diocese was agreed comprising of three circuits; Igbobini, Ode-Aye and Idanre circuits, but was ratified in 1978 and Rt. Rev. Micheal Oladipupo Osinuga was made the auxiliary bishop, who was responsible to the Bishop of Ilesa.
